Ornament for Great Granddaughter My Great Granddaughter has become fascinated with Mermaids. I began a tradition many years ago of giving my immediate family a personalized ornament for their Christmas trees that somehow depicts something about their hobby, sports, school, etc. with their name and the year on the ornament. I give them at Thanksgiving so they have them when they begin their decorating in their homes. This tradition has become a wonderful way for them to remember their Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma after I am gone, and a reminder for them of the year, and what made them happy at that point in their life. They love receiving them each year and look forward to this "early Christmas gift".
