I went up one size so that it has a little extra room and just in case it would shrink in the wash a little. I usually would buy a medium, but got a large and it is perfect. I ordered the small and was pleased with the quality of the shirt as well as the personalization. Instead of putting her name on the shirt, which I didn't think she would like, I put our group name. She can wear this on future 'Ladies Day Out' get togethers!
