Medical School Graduation Our God-Daughter recently graduated from medical school, and we ordered a set of these beautiful bookends to give her on her big day! She was absolutely blown away when she opened them! I must say they are fabulous......so heavy and the marble is spectacular, not to mention the fact that having her initials on them just put the cherry on the top!

Beautiful Bookends We purchased these bookends as a gift for our son and they are beautiful!! They are nice and heavy and won't be falling over from the weight of the books they will be supporting. Quality at a reasonable price I'm very pleased with my purchase! Heavy weight, highly polished black marble bookends on almost a 45 degree angel. Gold caduesus and personalized initials "pop" against the black background marble. Decoration, professionalism and funtionality all rolled in one with this item!

Quick delivery and great price! Got it for notably less than other websites, it looks nice and it arrived in less than a week. 2 minor complaints are the marble had light scratches on a couple of areas and the bottom needs something like felt so the edges don't scratch up the surface it's placed on

 Marble bookends One of the bookends arrived with a very noticeable defect in the marble that seems likely someone would have seen before being packaged and shipped. I'm sure they would have offered to replace the bookend but I had no desire to package them back up and return them had they required it. I've had a defective glass ornament arrive previously and they sent me a new one immediately without requiring the defective one to be returned. Great customer service; poor quality review.

 Less than stellar Was rather alarmed when I opened my bookends to discover the clearly visible scratches by the caduceus and unusual marking, not expected from marble. Reached out to PMall and stated it was normal markings of marble. I beg to differ as the marking is a definite scratch. They offered as a courtesy to replace at no cost with no guarantees that the next set would not appear to be in the same condition. I would seriously consider this item before spending the money to not be guaranteed flawless.

Bad quality Very disappointed. One of my bookends has a crack in the back and I emailed customer service and they told me it was how marble is. That is completely not true and I am very disappointed.

Not Happy By Shopper (Lemont, IL) - April 26, 2016 I was not happy with my bookends. They were solid black with absolutely no variation in color or marbling at all. They are nice and heavy with quality engraving but I am disappointed because had there been some variation to the color, they would have been a nice gift. Contacted customer service and was just told they have no control over the marbling, even if there is none.

Look good from a distance. By Shopper (Hamilton, OH) - June 2, 2015 I ordered one set of bookends., but they had to be remade 3 times. The first had flaws in the engraving. The second had flaws in the marble. The third was ok, but had one or two very white spots against the dark marble - which made them look flawed. Overall, the marble was scratched everywhere, on all three, except the engraving side (due to the engraving process maybe?). Would definitely not buy again.

 Features that I didn't likeBy Shopper (Cleveland, MS) - December 28, 2011 This product looks great in the picture, but the marble has defects which ruins the aesthetic quality of the bookends. My set had hairline fractures running down the front of each end- near the caduceus. Very disappointed.
