 great product, terrible frame!The product is beautiful! But the frame is of very shoddy quality. If you're not really careful, it will simply fall apart on you.

Great idea but quality lacking By Shopper  (Elgin, IL) - February 7, 2014 This is a great idea and the quality of the print is actually pretty good. Only thing is that it is just a canvas wrapped around a frame. There is no surface behind the picture (cork or otherwise) to stick the pins in. So the pins just hang there, only held by the canvas itself.

Looks better in the picture I had made up my mind to buy this "birthday gift" for a "hard-to-buy-for-friend", before I read the reviews. He said he saw something similar, and was considering buying it for himself. After reading the reviews, I purchased it, with concern, but I thought, "Personalizationmall.com has never disappointed me before". But this time I feel the quality is not as good as it appears to be in the picture. I ordered it with a black "frame" which is just 4 plain pieces of painted strips of wood surrounding the map. The coiling that decorates the picture just inside the frame, is just an imprint on the canvas, rather than an ornamental part of the actual frame. I wonder if just the canvas could be sold at a cheaper price, to be framed by a professional framer. I didn't mind that the United States were not outlined, because significant cities are on the map. But I would prefer if the personalization would be much smaller, and possibly be on a name plate rather, than be imprinted onto the canvas.

 Not as describedThis was supposed to be a map with travel pins. It was only a canvass map with no foam or cork backing. Detail is lacking on print.

our travels The first map which we ordered when we received it the frame was completely broken and fell apart as we took it out of the box. Personalzation mall sent us another map which we received in a couple of days. Again during the shipping there was a large rip in the second package. My husband had to reinforce the frame to the map so it wouldn't sag. It seemed like poor workmanship and poor shipping and handling.
I'm not sure I will purchase anymore products.

World map After receiving the world map I was disappointed at the quality of the product. The purpose of the map is to stick the little pins in to mark travel destinations. As there is no backing I'm not sure how the pins will stay in. I also have a bit of buyers remorse. I wish I had choosen the smaller United States map instead.

Nat'l Geographic World Personalized Canvas Map By Shopper (Lynn, MA) - March 26, 2016 This product was ordered as GIFT for son & daughter in law & shipped directly to them in NY .. I had purchased The USA Map nearly 5 yrs ago for their wedding .. It has a beautiful Detailed Frame .. Now that son & wife travel to other parts of the World I thought the World Travel Map would be a great addition .. Son received it & told me that the Frame was NOT the same as 1st one I purchased & that cork board was NOT as sturdy as on 1st Map .. Disappointed & I want son to Return the product as it does not coordinate with USA FRAMED MAP .. Very disappointed .. Frame different & Quality NOT as good ... Please Find 1st USA MAP with Detailed Frame & SHOW the DIFFERENCE .. Thank you ... Looks good in picture but NOT in person ..

World Travels By Shopper (Paradise Valley, AZ) - October 5, 2015 Great size and looks good on the wall. Unfortunatley our map was not stretched well in the frame and flaps a bit. It also has no backing to actually stick the pins into, they go right into the canvas only and have already started to tear through.

Disappointing quality This map is beautiful and is a great gift idea (I got it for my husband for our 20th anniversary). However, I was disappointed in the quality. The canvas was thin, there was no padding or backing of any kind behind the map for the pins to stick into, and the frame was very weakly attached to the canvas. I had to attach some padded backing to the back and re-attach the frame with hot glue. If I hadn't needed the gift right away, I probably would have returned it. I expected better.

Bare minimum included By Shopper (Sunbury, PA) - January 2, 2013 This map is pretty flimsy, does not include hanging instructions, has only limited hardware included, included only two pins to mark your journeys. I love the idea of it, but for the price, it was somewhat disappointing.

 Not good qualityI'm so disappointed with the purchase! The pins will not even stay on the picture because the quality is so bad. You also can't read most of the names on the map because of the globe lines

Very disappointed By Shopper (Hillsborough, NJ) - October 3, 2016 The map doesn't look like a canvas. It look so fake. The $35 frame is a waste. Unfortunately, since it has been personalized, not able to return. I should have waited before ordering 2 of these products.

Poor Quality The product was more than disappointing. I paid an extra $30 for the frame. The frame is not attached to the map. It lays over the map and held in place by weak bend bendable pins.
