I'm hoping when heated in the microwave the cups do not get super hot, like cheaper ceramic mugs do. Wel'll see on Christmas Day if it is a true 5 stars! I loved the fact we could write our own message on the cup!

The writing/inscription is underneath a smooth and shiny finishing glaze, so the writing/inscription won't wear/wash away. I would recommend washing by hand even so. EVERYTHING I EXPECTED AND MORE I ordered this mug for a grandson for a "just because you are you gift". As a family we have recently lost his Papaw (my husband) and he bears his name as his middle name. His Papaw called him Li'l Larry, thus the name on the mug.
