 Nice but off centerI ordered this mug with a large monogram-style initial on one side and a person's name on the other. Due to the low-tech preview available, I thought they were centered with respect to the handle, but they were not (slightly closer to the handle on one side with more white space on the other side). Otherwise, I was happy with the quality of the printing and the price, and I would order again, being more careful with the design. If the writing had been centered, I would have given 5 stars.

"Front" is back if you're right handed By Shopper (Redding, CA) - December 7, 2013 This mug came out looking very nice. The black handle and rim looks very sharp. It is a smaller mug than I was expecting, but that's on me, I guess, as I didn't really know what 11 oz. equals in size. If you're wanting a good sized mug, this isn't it -- more like a smaller cup. Also, be aware that the picture you load first will end up on the back if you're right handed. Mine is not how I wanted it because of that, but it still looks nice. Very good price.

The only thing I didn´t love is that the image is a tiny winny blurry, so I would love to see specs on the image to upload since it was a good resolution of 300 dpi

Design Your Own Personalized Coffee Mug- 11oz. Black Handle I have ordered many items from this company and have always been very happy with all of them. But for this particular mug, the photos came out far darker on the mug than the photos that were uploaded. When I called the company to ask them to redo it, they told me the photos had a dark background that in the printing process reflected onto the rest of the photo, making everything darker. And because the mug is a “Design your own” style, they cannot go in and change the photos to lighten them up since the artwork is not saved in this file as it is with their other items. “Design your own” is a specific category whose files are handled differently.
The lesson here is to be aware that if your background is dark and there is no lightness around the darkness to balance out with the faces and lighter areas of the photo, the whole photo will print up too dark on the mug. Make sure you lighten dark backgrounds to keep this from happening.

Product feature that I disliked The mug was really nice with nice coloring, however the logo was a bit more spread out than I had expected. I thought it would have been on one or both sides of the mug and not just sized and spread out across the entire mug. Still was very nice for the price.

 Prompt Delivery; Design ChallengesBy Shopper (Houston, TX) - December 9, 2024 I was pleased (5 stars) with the test sample order I placed one week earlier for this same self-designed mug. Unfortunately, I found there was no way to re-order a saved design since saved items are cleared out when an order is filled.
The centering feature fits across both sides of the mug, so centering front and back separately may skew your design away from the handle. It's difficult to tell from the design photos what to expect. Disappointed my second order wasn't consistent with the first.

So, I used only text and I always want to see EXACTLY how it looks. But, could not b/c print was too small. I received the 5 cups and they were as I ordered. I have NOT had this problem in the past and I HAVE ORDERED MANY ITEMS.

Checked and double checked to be sure my design was lined up within that template. Couldn't figure out how to review my design as it would actually appear on the mug. When I received it, my front design was most clearly not lined up the way I had it on the template. Very disappointed about that since it was a gift for someone.

Whoops Everyone double and triple check your design. There was a random letter in the middle of my photo :-/ kinda ruined the whole mug for obvious reasons. The letter made no sense i wish someone would have called to confirm but i realize that might be impossible to do. Aside from that, everything worked out :-)

Design was too dark By Shopper (Cumming, GA) - December 12, 2017 The mug is of good quality, but the design that was printed on it was much darker than the photo I submitted.

Not as good as the first one. I ordered the first mug in 2014. It was a memorial mug to give my husband, in memory of his cat. It had a black handle and black rim around the top. Excellent quality mug, and the printing was perfect. Looked like new even after daily use. I would probably never have needed to buy another one if I had not dropped that one and broke the handle off.
So I came back last year to buy a duplicate. They no longer had the identical mug, so I bought one with black handle and black interior. Big mistake! This mug is nothing like the first one. I suppose they went with a different supplier to cut costs. The finish feels rough in spots, the printing is a little less vibrant, and it got chipped promptly. My husband doesn't like it because when he pours his black coffee, he can't see when the cup is full!
So now I'm debating whether to buy a solid white one, which doesn't thrill me, or to look elsewhere. Very sad, they should have stuck with the great mugs they had. I'd call this a solid 3-star product. It does the job, but isn't spectacular.

REALLY personalized mug I used a friend's picture with the word 'MINE!!!' beneath the picture. The result was one large picture and word, stretched around the mug. I had wanted the pic/word smaller and duplicated on the front and back of the mug. I found the formatting process to be confusing, didn't do it correctly, and ended up with the one large image/word. It IS impressive, and I'll use it as the intended gift, but designing a mug with an image and lettering is not simple. There was NO image of the mug as I designed it when I ordered the mug, so I had to guess what it would look it. Some improvement is needed there.

Mother's Day Mug By Shopper (Findlay, OH) - May 9, 2016 It was easy to design my own mug but: there were not enough border and decorations choices and the color of the pictures were not the same as it appeared on my computer. I have not had this problem in the past when I used Personalization Mall. The mug did arrive quickly and it was a good value.

Wish I would have really looked into how the placement works because I did it wrong. No fault of the company and the cup is great. Just should have researched a bit.

In the Morning Mug Print quality was ok but not great. Photo sent was hi-res, but that did not translate to print. I will probably not print a mug like this again. 2.5 stars.

not as shown By Shopper (Cinnaminson, NJ) - December 31, 2015 the quality of the mug is fine, however when you "design your own" the words are not centered on one side like the photo suggests...instead, it was centered with the entire mug (picture the handle in the "back" of your design) it was a gift and I didn't have time to try to return it; the recipient didn't seem to mind (or they were being nice) but I really wish the design was all on one side so that when you are holding the mug you can see it (or have it be seen)

Meh - Be aware that design won't necessarily look fantastic By Shopper (Lansing, MI) - September 19, 2015 I paid more than 15 dollars to have a mug personalized. The design turned out okay, though I used a high definition image with words the transfer on the mug was considerably blurry. More disappointing however was that the design was just crooked enough to be noticeable, and noticeable enough to irritate the person I planned to give this to! However I'm not saying the crookedness of the mug design is a typical occurrence, but it was especially disappointing considering how much I paid.

Great mug, picture not so great The mug itself is great, big and sturdy. Unfortunately the picture I wanted on it was very blurry and did not look as professional as I wanted. This mug was a birthday gift and I did not want to show up empty handed so I gave it as a gift anyways, when I should have returned it. :(

Product is great but proof wasn't like item. Mug is great quality but art work was not as good as it looked on screen it looked very stretched out. Little disappointed at one side of mug.

Cute mug Liked the ability to personalize this mug...the print is a little small so using just a word or two is best to take advantage of the size. Would prefer if wording was vertical rather than horizontal. But nice to be able to include a photo on the back!

Unexpectedly large word When I ordered the mug, I didn't know that the word that entered in the "design" would circle around the mug - I thought that it's either just on one side or there will be 2 words on both sides. So it turned out that the entire word cannot be seen from just one angle and that it just seems to be so LARGE!
There must be warning of some sort that I didn't pay attention to. To save shipping cost, I ordered 10. I really should have ordered just one and see the resulte before I order the other ones.

Nice product Came on time as promised. They put the writing on a weird spot on the mug. If I saw this at a store I would not have purchased it. Looks weird.
