Looks better in pictures then in real life Got this item on sale with a promo code. The online picture looked so cute. In real life though it is printed on wood and from certain angles you can sort of see a glare which makes it look very fake. From far away it looks very nice, not so much up close. We still have it on the fireplace mantle. Concept cute, if there wasn't a glare, it would be perfect.

A little disappointed... I loved this product and what it represents! I purchased for a 5 year anniversary gift. I read the description carefully before purchase and honestly, it is probably me, but the portion of the description where the shop emphasized that this product is a wood plank that is printed upon, I interpreted that as the entire area shown as bark was real bark apart of that real wood plank. I thought just strictly the digital print was going to be the personalization INSIDE of the carved heart. My mistake

Anniversary gift By Shopper (Gold Beach, OR) - July 18, 2016 Purchased this plaque as a partial 5th anniversary gift for my husband. I liked that it looked more on the rustic side for him and would also suit our decor.
I have to say, however, that I was disappointed at how cheaply made the front (tree trunk facade) looks up close...nothing like the online picture. I knew it was getting a plank and actually like that aspect of the piece. What I was not expecting something that looks like someone used a fineline marker to put the names on a holograph.

Looks cheap The plank arrived in time for Valentine's Day but looked very cheap. The wife was still pleased with the thought. From a distance I guess it could look real but up close it has a very fake appearance.

Different This product was different than what I had thought. From the picture I believed it to be a real peice of wood with an actual carved out heart into the wood with the names. It turned out to be just a picture of a peice of wood with no carvings. Product was still very nice, just not what I thought it was when purchasing it.

Flat surface The picture looks like the item would have been 3 D with cut outs but it actually is flat.

OK By Shopper (suffern, NY) - December 27, 2015 printed piece of paper mounted on wood. a little pxelated, i could do this at home with a piece of wood, a printer and glue.

Was not what I was expecting I liked the product but was not expecting a picture on front of the wood was expecting it to look and feel more like a real trim that is engraved

It is okay The picture makes it look like the letters are carved into the wood...that's not the case, it is a wood piece with bark, but it is paper that has your initials and date printed on. It's an okay item. Wouldn't recommend because of the misleading description.

Not what I expected This is pretty, but not what I expected! The wood is not carved, it is a picture of a carving on a piece of wood. Kinda disappointed as I bought this for a gift thinking it was actually carved.

So in Love plank By Shopper (olivehurst, CA) - May 17, 2015 be sure to read fine print, I didn't so it was my fault but I thought it was actually carved wood instead of a photo copy. Wished the whole thing was more like the edges of the photo...more realistic but still a nice gift parents liked it.

Read description It's not 3-d, like it appears in picture. Board Is flat w no texture. Looks computerized. It's still cute, not rustic like I expected.

not what I expected The product should have a better description. It should say that the front is not carved into a heart and that it is a sticker. If the description would have been clearer I would not have been disappointed when I received the plack.

Not a real carving... Yes, it is my fault that I didn't realize that this piece wasn't going to be a real carved piece of wood. But they sure could make it a little more obvious.. (I had already ordered it when I saw that part, so there was no going back at that point either way) But when it arrived I was still very dissapointed because it didn't look real at all, it is basically a piece of wood with a picture on it. I could've done that myself with a wood transfer and make it look better!

It's ok... This was not bad, it was just kind of a let down. The front face is like a picture of wood printed on. Very flat and blan. Still cute idea just not as good as it looks in the picture.

looks much better online Though it is a nice item and it was liked by its recipients, I feel that the printing wasn't quite as realistic as it looks online.

But even though the product is wood, the surface with the heart is smooth. Didn't look as cool as in the picture. So I was dissapointed. But is still cute, but not my favorite.

Not bad, but not impressive By Shopper (Cape Coral, FL) - February 21, 2014 This is a really great idea, however, it would be a lot nicer if it was real bark and carving. The writing looks like it was just a sharpie or pen. The quality could have been better. It was just alright.

Cute but not what I expected... The quality of this item is good; however, when I opened it up I was disappointed in the fact that the picture made it appear as if the heart was actually carved into the wood, but in actuality it was flat. The picture is a bit of a misrepresentation of the actual product. But it's still cute; just not exactly what I was expecting.

NOT AS IT APPEARS IN PROMO PHOTO By Shopper (Woodsville, NH) - February 2, 2014 Looked classy in advertisement but when received found it tacky. The only wood is the plank and a strip on the sides, otherwise the bark look on the front is a photo application of your personalization. Looks really cheap ! Giving as a gift and hope she likes it. For the money, not worth it. From a distance will look okay but if anyone goes to take a look at it, which they will because of its unique design, will not be impressed.

Flat surface so not quite as appealing as I was hoping for. I will say hanging on the wall from a distance, it does give the right affect.

Not as pictured... By Shopper (Mount Vernon, OH) - January 31, 2023 The image of the wood carving and bark is printed on a wood plaque. The heart shape and text is not actually set into the wood as it appears. Also, the little bark on sides is flaking off as we opened packaging. Very disappointed.

Plaque Looks nothing like the picture. The picture looks like a 3D effect the actual product looks like a fake wood and someone printed on it.it’s smooth and flat not a 3D wood look. Was so disappointed that I did not give it as a gift and had to find another gift for the person at the last minute

Cheap looking It is on wood yes, but I thought it would be engraved names. That was my mistake I’m sure it didn’t say it. Even so it looks like someone took a pen a wrote the names. I’m looking to get it engraved because it’s a Christmas Gift.

Disappointed I was disappointed in the finished product. I did read the description of the product but definately misunderstood what you meant by flat face. I thought it was just the inscription that was printed and not the wood grain. Definately not worth the money.

Embarrassed to give I am so disappointed how cheap the writing looks. It looks like someone used a sharpie. Would not recommend!! I decided not to give it as a gift.

Cheap Quality Thin Plank of Printed Wood Not 3D as it appears in item description photos. Basically receive a non-dimensional thin plank of shiny wood with your names printed. Looks and feels cheap. Not good quality. I rate it 2 stars for being a sentimental gift idea.
