 Not as I had hopedI was disappointed in this product. I thought the heart was carved out in the wood. It is not. It is just a picture attached to what I think is a plank of wood. It's is nice but not what I expected. Maybe from afar it will look more realistic.

While the description did mention that the name was just printed, not engraved ... the item still looks like a real carved piece of wood in the picture on the website. The description reads that this item is a "plank" ... it doesn't go that one step further to state "print glued to plank".

Mixed feelings By Shopper (Granger, IN) - January 15, 2017 I purchased this wooden plaque for an anniversary gift for my boyfriend. It was delivered in six days to me after ordering. It looks truly beautiful. However, I am really disappointed with the quality. Immediately after receiving the product, the sides chipped off in chunks. I had to apply glue to put the sides back on and really didn't have time to be trying to fix the quality. I think the website should add a disclaimer that the wood will chip off with the least bit of pressure.

Not what I expected The left and right side edges have a nice rustic feeling real wood edge to it but the front of it is a very fake looking wood image. There was a notice on the description "names are printed on a plank, this is not a carved piece of wood" but I figured it would have the same nice rustic true wood feel to the front of it with some sort of image or change in material in the heart center. Far away it looks ok but once you get close to it it is noticeable that it is a cheap looking image.

Poor Print Quality I understood that this was not a real wood carving, however the photo and description made it appear much better. I was disappointed to find such poor print quality. The photo used is low resolution and almost blurry. With todays technology it could be improved considerably.

Not what i expected By Shopper (Panama city beach, FL) - November 8, 2016 The picture is very deceiving. I did read where it is not carved, but thinking the heart is carved out at least and the names where inked in. At least make it more realistic. Wish I could get refund.

Not impressed The front of this a screen printed picture and not actual carving. It is on wood however, I thought the inscription of the names was to be carved. Not happy with it and I can't return it since it's personalized.

Blurry By Shopper (Queen Creek, AZ) - October 18, 2016 I didn't realize that the entire front of it was printed on, the bark and everything, I thought it was just the names. That wouldn't be bad, but the print isn't very good, it's blurry. I don't think it looks good enough to display. It was the thought that counts, but it's basically just garbage now cause I wouldn't hang it up or anything.

Disappointed Not the usual quality I've come to expect from Personalization Mall. An OK product, but looks and feels cheaply made. Looks much nicer in the picture than it really is.

So disappointed! I ordered this as an engagement gift for my fiance. In the description it leads you to believe that there is bark actually around the heart framing it in when in reality it is a flat piece of wood and the entire front resembles a printed sticker almost. It doesn't look like the picture. The only bark was a thin strip on on each side of the wood. I have ordered from here for years and will say this is the first time I have ever been disappointed.

Only looks good from distance By Shopper (Bloomer, WI) - July 11, 2016 I knew this would be printed not carved. The pictures on the website and the preview when you order look very realistic but when I got it I was disappointed. Within a few feet it looks cheaply printed but from 5' or more away it looks pretty good. Nice item and idea but needs to be printed better. Still will be a nice anniversary gift.

Screen print I must not have read the fine print, I did not realize this was a screen print on a piece of wood. I thought it was real bark on the front.

Basswood Plank Review The size was what I expected, but was disappointed that the front is just a printed sheet of paper attached to a piece of wood. I was embarrassed to give it to my son and his fiancé.

Disappointed Very disappointed. Looks VERY cheap, nothing like it does online. Plaque is rugged on the sides (like real tree bark) but the front is flat and shiny like a picture. Doesn't look authentic at all. I feel ripped off with this item. I was generous with giving 2 stars because I love the idea of the plaque, however the quality didn't deliver for me. I don't recommend

Looks fake This isn't actually a carved piece of wood. Maybe it says that in he details but I was disappointed in the way it looked when I got it. Also the gift box was a waste of money it's just an advertisement for personalization mall. However the other two items I got were great! The bride cried when she opened them!

Disappointed By Shopper (Middletown, OH) - May 14, 2016 I have purchased several items from Personalization Mall & been very pleased. But unfortunately this item was not what I expected, it could be me. I expected the heart in the wood to actually be carved or hollowed out of the actual piece of wood, I did NOT realize the item is just a graphic overlay on a piece of wood. It looks cheap to me in my personal opinion, but my husband on the other hand really likes it & couldn't wait to display it.
The item came in a very timely manner :)

It looks great from a distance but up close - cheap.

The shiney finish doesnt let you see the picture as well. Looks like someone took a photo and then put on a frame

Not what we expected. We have loved everything we have purchased from Personalization Mall with the exception of this. The picture is very deceptive. We understood that it wasn't carved out but it's really just a picture. The front has no wood features to it at all, it's completely flat, smooth, and shiny. Looking back it would have been nice to see an angled picture to see the contour of the front, then we wouldn't have purchased it.

Not what I thought I know the product description states not a carved piece of wood but the picture makes the product look much nicer than it is. It's a little cheesy and appears cheaply made. I wasn't thrilled with the product.

$8 dollar value By Shopper (covington, LA) - February 15, 2016 Should have read the fine print. I thought it was carved into the wood, turns out it's just run through a printer. The bark on the edge is very easy to rub/crack off'basically you get a 5 dollar plank of wood from a hobby store and a image inked on by a home computer and printer. 8 dollar value at most. Now excuse me, I have a tree to cut down and turn into what this should have been

Very Disappointed Looking at this online I thought it would be more 3 dimensional. It is not. The "engraving" is cheap looking. The sides are real bark but within minutes of me opening it a piece fell off. I did not bother trying to return it because I did not want to pay shipping to return. I glued the piece back on. for sure not worth the price.

not quite what I expected By Shopper (Las Vegas, NV) - October 25, 2015 I was very excited for this as it looked like a wood carved item... even though I knew it wasn't wood, I was surprised when it arrived and it was almost entirely a picture on top of a plastic - like surface with barely and raised grain like stuff to make it look like wood. I was disappointed as it had so much potential to be awesome... even if it had been carved out of all plastic... there is no depression for the heart... it's totally flat. I don't recommend it.

Looks cheap It is a printed picture on a flat board. The photo gives the impression that it has depth and looks 3D. Read the fine print before you buy. It actually says in the description that it is a print and not an actual carved piece of wood, but I did not notice until I went back and checked the description again.

Disappointed By Shopper (Chelmsford , MA) - October 20, 2015 I read all reviews and was aware this wasn't wood and was prepared for it. However, despite all the positive reviews that it was great, I have to disagree. It looks nothing like the advertised photo. In fact the sides only look like the advertised photo (which look pretty cool). It is simply a screen print and looks really fake and kind of "cheapo". I am very disappointed as I thought it was a great idea and was a 5 year anniversary gift. It's too bad because I have really loved everything else I have purchased from this site over time. Don't recommend buying this.

Picture isn't as it appears The Picutre on the site is nothing like I expected it to be & a bit disappointed by it & Wish I Wouldn't have bought one for My Step Son & Daughter-in-Law. Seeing the actual product now.

Not what is pictured My plaque looks nothing like what is pictured. It looks like a painting of a tree. The only real tree part is on the edges. Very, very disappointed. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is that I love this site and I have NEVER bought anything I was disappointed with.

Basswood plank Not as I was expecting. It looks like a piece of paper stuck to a plank of wood. It looks more realistic online however, not so good in person or on my wall. Sorry but not worth the purchase.

It is NOT etched in wood I was very disappointed because it looks like the names are etched in the wood. .. they are NOT. It's like the front of the plaque has been printed on from a printer. This was so cute, I was so sad when I got it. It's still decent but not what I expected.

Actual product is a photo image of names inside a heart printed on a plank.
There is no 3dimensional property at all or depth.
Disappointing for the price.

it is ok By Shopper (Plaquemine, LA) - March 27, 2015 the picture is a little misleading, unless u realize that it is paper and not wood. It looks o.k. . It just does not look as real as the picture.

Disappointed What I liked about the product is the size and the accent on both sides of the basswood plank.
What disappointed me about the product is that the attatchmet to hang it is taped in the back but not fixed in.
Also the fact that it's a printed image and nothing is carved. The image quality is not as shown on the website and the year fades away w the colors.
It also has strikes of paint that seem off or accidental and do not make it elegant and neat as the picture shows
