 Should have read the reviewsHad I seen this in person before buying, I would have never spent $25 on it. Really disappointed, I understand it says it's "printed" but I thought the heart was carved - looks pretty cheesy up close. :( So much for that wedding gift!

Not Satisfied I ordered this item for my wife and I and was pleased with the fast shipping but when I opened the box I was not happy with the item. The wood that is printed on the item is really red looking and looks fake. Not what I expected by looking at what is online.

Not what I thought The picture looked to me like it would be a 3D image with names engraved, but it is not. It is like a picture. Not what I thought it would be.

Cheap This is such a creative concept, but I was so disappointed when the product arrived! The heart and words are just printed and flat. I assumed this was an actual carving.

Should've read reviews My fault for not reading reviews before purchasing. This product looks really cheap. The front surface is a print, not wood. I bought this for a gift for in-laws, but I'm too embarrassed to give it to them.

So-so product I expected a better quality. It looked great on the picture, but wasn't at all impressed with the final product.

Not what I expected By Shopper  (South Euclid, OH) - July 18, 2014 Based on the original picture, the heart looks like it should be carved into the wood along with the names/date. When I received it, it was flat and printed on the front. I was disappointed. The side of the picture has bark, which is a great detail, but parts of it were chipped off.

Could be better It's a good idea but the actual product looks like they put a faded photo copy on a piece of wood. Not too excited about this gift anymore!

Not what I thought it would look like I thought the bark areas would be raised on the front and just the inside of the heart would be printed. It turned out the entire front was printed. It doesn't look real at all. Was very disappointed.

nothing like picture By Shopper (Windber, PA) - February 9, 2014 I was VERY disappointed with this item. It is simply a small board with printed wallpaper glued to it. It looks nothing like real wood or like the photo.

Carved? Not so much I love the wood piece, but very disappointed because the letters look like they were drawn on with a fine sharpie pen. Would be such a great piece with different lettering; even bold letters would be better so it would looked carved.

The description talks about how it has the natural bark to make it more natural and real. Well, while it does have a thin strip of bark down the outside edge, everything you see across the face of the piece is just printed on as well as the inscription. I thought it was going to be truly carved in and all natural but its mostly all printed look. From a distance it might still look realistic enough to please some but when you get even just a little bit closer or take a second glance its obvious its a printed image on the wood. Again it is still pretty just not what I thought it was going to be. For the price its still not a bad buy and I truly love Personalizationmall.com.

Glad I only bought one. Disappointed The plaque appears to. Be textured when viewing on line however that is not as it is. It is smooth and has a shine to it and looks inexpensive in person. Also what looks like an etching where the personalization appears looks like magic marker. I was contemplating ordering one for each of my four children and so glad I only ordered one to see it first. Not worth the price even though I purchased on sale.

Realistic? No. I purchased this thinking it would look very authentic - it didn't. It looks very fake. The personalization was great, but the "wood" look is not there.

Disappointed I bought this thinking that it was an actual piece of wood with a carving. What I really got was a piece of wood that had a picture of a carving on it. I kept it but I have to say it did not look as good as all of the other items that I have purchased before. Was a little disappointed with this purchase.

NOT WHAT IT APPEARS By Shopper (Woodsville, NH) - January 27, 2014 Just received the so called "Carved" in love plank. The photo of the item looks impressive on the site, but was disappointed in the final product and do not recommend it to anyone. The item is not carved but a photo application placed over the genuine wood plank. Really looks cheapened by doing that. If you stand back away from the item, it will look half way decent but anyone that gets close will see differently. Hope she likes it !

Not Happy Very disappointed with this plank. The initials I asked for are hardly visible or readable. The letters are very small and light in color. I am trying to redo it myself. If they could have made it better wouldn't they have done it???

So-so From the product picture, I expected the entire thing to be carved from a tree... not an image/photo of tree bark and photoshopped names. The sides are bark, but the flat surface of the heart and names is a little misleading. I know my girlfriend will still like it, but I'm luke warm about the product. For the cost, I kind of expected a little more.

disappointed this is the first item i have been disappointed with and i have ordered many during the last few years. i wanted this as an anniversary present for my husband, but i feel it will just be a joke gift instead. very cheap looking.

Now what I expected. Very disappointed By Shopper (Peekskill, NY) - September 7, 2021 I didn't read the fine print and was deceived by the picture of this product which is simply printed words on a photo of bark. Very deceptive advertising and very disappointing. My fault for not doing due diligence and reading the notes, but relying on the false picture. A waste of $20 plus return shipping --and my high hopes for a fifth anniversary gift. Why not offer the real thing for more money? This is just tacky.

Anniversary gift gone wrong I was so excited at how cute this looks in the image on the website. It does say it’s not real carved wood and printed on but it doesn’t say the heart itself is printed on!! The tips of the heart aren’t even on it!! It looks very cheap. Disappointed.

Extremely Disappointed This item was not at all the quality I was expecting. The names look like they were written on with a sharpie. It was wood, but the front is not carved at all. Not even the heart. So sad.

Don’t waste your money It’s basically a sticker over a piece of wood. And it’s not even centered.
Plus you can’t return it. It’s hideous

Very Disappointed. Not only was this package two days late (no fault of this site) but the product itself is a let down. Thought it would be on a pice of would and a little more 3d. It literally looks like a cheap photo printed on a peice of board...

Unrealistic I was happy it was made in the US, but it is very unrealistic. Description was very clear that the names weren’t carved, they were printed.
The print is very glossy and looks very unauthentic. I wouldn’t recommend this item unless they changed the finish.
Only redeeming quality is that the back is blank, so I can turn the back into something else.

So in Love Basswood plank I was very disappointed when I received this item as it appeared that it would be a heart literally carved out of a piece of wood with some Dimension and depth and in fact it is not at all

Image very misleading By Shopper (Roland, OK) - February 20, 2020 My girlfriend was actually in tears when she received this gift. The picture made it look like it was an authentic carving in a tree but what we got was a very poorly pasted image on a flat piece of board.

Very Disappointed The description wasn't clear. I knew the inside writing would be printed, but thought the tree part would be dimensional. The entire flat board is basically a photo of a tree and it isn't as pretty as I hoped.
