I was a little dismayed of the texture and thickness. It doesn't appear to be a very absorbent material. Its design will serve better as a mat in the sand.

Different but still nice I guess I expected these to be all like terry cloth towels. They seem more like a blanket. One side is towel material but name side is like a soft blanket. Still will be nice when kids get out of pool and no questioning who’s is this? Names are printed nicely.
