Great for the Guy Who has Everything I bought this for a retired Navy friend of mine. Nowadays he works out of an office and I thought this would be a nice desk accessory. I had it engraved and was totally excited when I got the finished product. Even better? He loved it!

Solutions So the first compass had no magnetic pull anywhere meaning it didn't work. Customer service handled the issue quickly and in a kind manner. The replacement compass is amazing.

Engraved Navigator Compass Needle I bought this item for a co-worker who is retiring. I like the overall look of the item. However, the compass needle part of it is leaning to the side and I'm not sure if it is working properly. I call with my concerns that it was broken and was told to take a photo and they would look at it a send me another. But none of the photos I took really show what my concern with the leaning needle. So I guess I am stuck with item as is. Not sure I will used this company again.

A fantastic gift for my husband When my new husband (last husband passed away in 2015) opened the box, he was surprised. This gift was so great, he couldn't stop grinning. The compass was a wonderful find. The inscription read well and he appreciated the sentiment. It is sometimes difficult to find a gift for him, but I can count on your selections for inspiration. Next occasion will be in September for Rosh Hashana. Just because he appreciates the inscription on all things from you, this was no different. It is the perfect gift for someone like him to read something sincerely written.

 Disappointed.I've bought the compass gift in time for my best friend's graduation. I've received 2 days ago. Today I've decided to open and see it. The needle is loose, looks like it's going to come out. Overall, it looks cheap (and it wasn't it!!!). The compass box smaller than the picture they show. For $70 I was expecting something better. I'm sending it back. I'm going out now and buy my friend something decent.

Retirement present It was a total hit. Our Executive Director retired after 21 years of services and she loved it. It’s a nice remembrance of her retirement that can be displayed at her home. Very classy. Great present everyone that saw it loved it.

I saw a couple of reviews claiming that it was cheaply built, that is not true. It is a compass, the needle has to be able to spin easily, don't mistake that for poor workmanship. Would definitely recommend.

A bit disappointed I did not receive the product that I ordered. The description of the color was suppose to be a "rich deep mahogany but what I received was definitely black plastic. Other than the color, the piece was nice and the inscription was perfect.

Nice, but kind of disappointed This compass is a great gift for any outdoorsy man, but I was expecting the outside to be wooden, not plastic! That makes it feel a bit cheap, but the engraving turned out great and the whole inside looks awesome!

Average quality For the price paid, it seemed poor quality to me. We purchased these for our Fathers for Christmas, and they are nice but pretty pricey for what you get. It's like a $5-$10 value in my estimation, and I paid almost $50....a little bummed!
