Very Sturdy! I was impressed at the weighted base, with a secure "screw-in" hanger piece. (I've owned those cheaper kind, and they're junk compared to this!) It's very sturdy, to hold even your heaviest ornaments. I'm using mine to hold a 4½" ornament. Beautiful quality too.
